Collection: Rorschach

The Rorschach test is a psychological assessment tool using standardised inkblots to evaluate a person's personality characteristics, emotional functioning, and thought processes. I think we've all took it at some stage.

The test taker is asked to provide their perceptions or perspectives on the presented ambiguous inkblot images. This test was designed to look for patterns of thought disorder in schizophrenia and has evolved to include other areas, like personality, emotional disorders, and intelligence.

In this series, this is exactly what I recreated - with brighter colours. Each person has her own interpretation. The paintings evokes very different things and sensations, depending on the eye of the observer. I have always found fascinating to listen to the very different visions and realities people are experiencing.
