Falling In was created as a large-scale bespoke commission to complete LOVE, an existing 130 × 155 cm painting, transforming the two works into a striking diptych created specifically for an exclusive private villa in the Algarve.
Created specifically for its architectural setting, the diptych was conceived as an immersive statement within the villa, bringing together scale, movement and emotion in a distinctly contemporary and personal work.
The pieces are complemented by a luminous chandelier, composed by a multitude of glass figures - each one caught in its own moment of falling in love. I wanted to continue this sense of movement and human connection, while creating a work that could stand with the same strength and presence.
The intention was not to create 2 matching pieces but 2 works that speak to each other and tell a complete story. That’s why I wanted the new piece to capture the moment of intensity, movement and surrender just before Love itself - as we can all experience this magic moment of "Falling In Love".
