A Love Story on Canvas – A Bespoke Commission Inspired by “Love”
Creating art that connects deeply with people’s emotions is one of the greatest joys of my work. Recently, I had the privilege of painting a very special commission for a U.S.-based couple - a husband who wanted to surprise his wife with a truly unique Christmas gift.
This piece was inspired by one of my existing artworks, “Love”, which his wife had fallen in love with at first sight. However, the original painting’s dimensions didn’t suit their home, so we embarked on a journey to create a custom version, tailored to their space and their story.
The Inspiration: Love, in All Its Forms
The husband envisioned a painting that would carry the same emotional energy as the original “Love”, but in a size that would perfectly complement their living space. Beyond the aesthetics, he wanted this new piece to be a symbol of his love for his wife, who was expecting their first child at the time. Just like a modern version of a love letter.
This project quickly became more than a simple art commission - it was a celebration of their growing family, a declaration of affection, and a timeless keepsake of that magical moment in their lives.
The Details: A Hidden Message
To make the artwork even more personal, we added a secret touch. Their names were subtly engraved within the layers of paint - visible almost only to them, like a hidden signature of their story. It’s a detail that makes this artwork theirs alone: a quiet whisper of connection, love, and intimacy.
The Creative Process
While inspired by the composition and palette of “Love”, this bespoke painting was adapted to fit both the space and the sentiment. I rebalanced the flow of movement, adjusted the tonal harmony, and fine-tuned the textures to create a sense of warmth and luminosity.
The final piece radiates tenderness - a blend of energy and softness that captures the spirit of love, family, and new beginnings.
